soiling, tanning, scratches. Title page shows a large, repaired
tear. A few other pages show small tears. Oversize book may

of World War I. Four volume set, no dust jackets as issued. Set
number #498 signed by registrar Jane Austin Ellis; this set
presented to Albert G. Duncan. Oblong, no lettering on spine.
Debossed brown leatherette covers illustrated with gold
stamping. Covers show light wear at spine and along edges. Cover
of Vol. 1 has horizontal crease (see photo) but other covers all
ok. Marbled endpapers. Page edges gilded; tanning but unmarked.

. : 1945. First Edition. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Cloth.
Good / No Jacket. First edition. Made in Germany. An account of
the US Army's 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st
Airborne in World War II. "It is the intent to reproduce herein
a pictorial representation of what you’ve done in fighting this
war. The scrapbook has its genesis in the activation of the
regiment 20 July 1942. It will cover your training, your
fighting, your play. It’s exodus is to be that day when the last
man of the 506th makes his final jump and becomes, himself,
eternal in the heavens." R.F. Sink Colonel, 506th Parachute
Infantry, Commanding. Oblong book (10" tall by 15" wide), brown
cloth cover with blue debossed text. Cover is slightly bowed, is
rubbed on the back, less-so on the front, but shows some
edgewear. Corners are bumped, and there are a few small
dampstains. Endpapers show tiny speckles of rust. Spine and
hinges good. Interior pages are clean. Includes several maps (on
tissue) of particular campaigns (Noville, Noville-Foy, Bastogne
Defense, Final Attack Phase). A Screaming Eagle newsletter dated
December 1948 is laid in. No writing. Condition: Good+. $200.00
